This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) governs your license to use the XYZKeyboard application and its keyboard extension (collectively, “XYZKeyboard”, the “App”, or the “Licensed Application”). XYZKeyboard is also known as 玲珑键盘 in some product interfaces.

By downloading, installing, or using XYZKeyboard, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the App.

1. License Grant

XYZTech grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use XYZKeyboard on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, the applicable Usage Rules, and this EULA.

The App is licensed, not sold. XYZTech and its licensors retain all rights in and to the App that are not expressly granted to you.

This license includes the host application, the custom keyboard extension, the offline input engine, the offline dictionaries and lexicons distributed with the App, and updates supplied by XYZTech, unless an update is accompanied by separate terms.

2. License Restrictions

Except as permitted by this EULA, applicable law, or an open-source license that applies to a particular component, you may not:

  • copy, distribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or make the App available for use by multiple devices over a network;
  • modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, or reverse engineer the App, or attempt to discover its source code;
  • remove, alter, or obscure copyright, trademark, license, or other proprietary notices;
  • use the App to interfere with the security, operation, or integrity of iOS, Apple services, the App, or a configured third-party service; or
  • use the App in violation of applicable law or another party’s rights.

These restrictions do not apply to the extent a restriction is prohibited by applicable law or is expressly permitted by the license governing an open-source component.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of text, personal dictionary entries, settings, and other content that you enter, create, import, export, or manage through XYZKeyboard (“Your Content”). You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring that you have the rights needed to use it.

Basic input, local candidate processing, personal-lexicon learning, and offline dictionary lookup are designed to operate on your device. Your Content may leave your device if you choose to use an optional AI provider, copy or share content through iOS, export a personal lexicon, or use another app or service.

4. Optional AI Services

XYZKeyboard may offer optional AI candidate, composition, or pinyin-correction features. These features are not required for basic input. If you enable them, you select the service provider, endpoint, model, and credentials. Requests are sent directly from the App to the endpoint you configure; XYZTech does not operate a proxy or relay for those requests.

Your use of a third-party AI provider is subject to that provider’s terms, privacy policy, pricing, retention rules, content rules, and technical limitations. The separate AI Service Disclosure explains the data that may be sent and the controls available to you.

AI-generated candidates may be incomplete, inaccurate, offensive, or unsuitable for your context. You are responsible for reviewing text before submitting it and for deciding whether an AI provider is appropriate for the information you enter.

5. Open-Source Components and Third-Party Materials

XYZKeyboard may include open-source software, language data, fonts, or other materials supplied under third-party licenses. Those materials remain subject to their own license terms. Where a third-party license grants rights or imposes obligations that conflict with this EULA, that third-party license controls for the applicable component.

Attribution and license information for the offline dictionaries and lexicons is available in the App and in the project’s third-party lexicon documentation.

6. Updates and Changes

XYZTech may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of XYZKeyboard. An update may add, change, or remove features, compatibility, providers, endpoints, or supported data sources. You may need to install an update to continue using a feature.

7. Privacy

Your use of XYZKeyboard is also governed by the XYZKeyboard Privacy Policy and, when you use AI features, the AI Service Disclosure. Those documents describe local storage, optional data sharing, retention, deletion, and consent controls.

8. Termination

This EULA is effective until terminated. You may terminate it by stopping use of XYZKeyboard and deleting the App. Your license will terminate automatically if you materially breach this EULA. Upon termination, you must stop using and delete the App, except to the extent applicable law or an open-source license provides otherwise.

Sections concerning ownership, third-party services, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and any provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, XYZKeyboard is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express, implied, or statutory. XYZTech disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

XYZTech does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every text field or device, or able to produce accurate candidates. The App is an input tool, not a replacement for your review of text or for professional advice.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, XYZTech and its affiliates, licensors, service providers, officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, text, privacy, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to XYZKeyboard, a configured third-party service, or this EULA.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, XYZTech’s total liability for claims relating to XYZKeyboard or this EULA will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for XYZKeyboard in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) USD $50.

Nothing in this EULA excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Apple App Store Terms

If you obtained XYZKeyboard through the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple’s applicable terms, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a valid custom EULA applies.

Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support services for XYZKeyboard, except as required by applicable law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it against you as permitted by the applicable App Store terms.
